Soiree au Jardin: An Enchanting Evening Among the Blooms

August 9, 2026      1 Comment

I came across a post of vintage seller I love, telling of an upcoming event she would be at and before I knew it I was buying tickets, adventuring out to a new garden centre to have the most magical Thursday evening among the blooms, under the cafe lights and wishing I had found Fruits and Shoots long before now!

When I say this hidden gem is a magical getaway and I could spend hours wandering, exploring and being in awe of the thoughtful design it is an understatement. I loved every detail from being greeted by apple filled vines, to the careful laid out plants and florals for you to get inspiration to take home to your garden, the amazing garden shop and of course the staff with the warmest smiles and kindest hellos!

When we arrived soft cafe music floated through the air, we were handed a delicious glass of sparkling rose from Whispering Horse winery and we began our stroll through the gardens to roam, munch, shop and meet all the vendors sharing their goods.

Of course I came home with some one of a kind finds from Circa Vintage 2022 and maybe a few things from the cute little garden centre shop, continue on to see my pretty purchases!

Everything is so thoughtfully displayed and beautiful I could have spent hours there, okay and maybe I did!

We enjoyed sweets, treats and savories’ from all the incredible vendors! The charcuterie from Heirloom and Maple was delicious, lemon sugar crepes from Marais Tea Company, bread and croissants from Anita’s, plus cupcakes, mocktails and so much more!

Some of my treasures old and new! A vintage basket, tongs and floral print, and from the garden shop pretty and practical floral shears, a new frame, the perfect pinecone candle holders for the seasons ahead and I just loved the pattern and colours on the scarf I knew it had to come home with me and can be styled so many ways can’t wait! Oh an of course I had to come home with some fresh bread cause who can say no to that!

A big thank you to Fruits and Shoots for hosting such an incredible event and a very Happy 5th Birthday to you! I hope this becomes an annual event and I will definitely be watching out for other events coming throughout the year! Honestly though if you haven’t already pay them a visit you won’t be disappointed! Until next time, I’m off to eat some bread!
