Lavender Lemonade
I don’t know about you but when the weather gets warm, I can’t help but crave a jug of fresh squeezed lemonade! It’s such a simple recipe, tastes great and is so hydrating. Then adding the light fragrant Lavender to the mix, this herb pairs so well with lemon making this the perfect duo. With another hot weekend coming to us here in B.C. what better time to share this delicious lavender lemonade with you all!
First up let’s make some Lavender Simple Syrup, it’s so easy to make and if you don’t care for lavender you could simple leave the lavender out and just use the other two ingredients to make traditional simple syrup. You could also easily infuse this with other flavours to add to your favourite drinks and cocktails.
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 4 Tablespoons of culinary lavender
Instructions
- Add sugar, water and lavender to small saucepan over medium heat
- Stir until simmering and all sugar has dissolved
- Remove from heat and let syrup steep for 30 mins
- Pour through fine mesh strainer into a glass jar and let cool
{Simple syrup can be stored in an airtight container in fridge for up to 2 weeks}
I love the soft hue this simple syrup has!
