Hopping into Easter!
Hey everyone! I don’t know about you but I love the arrival of spring, and all that comes with it. The lighter, longer days, blue skies, new blooms and of course Easter! I love to add some décor touches for the holiday around our home, most of my pieces I have had for a while and are favourites to bring out year after year. I usually change up the location I display them in and sometimes I give them a make-over. Generally I keep it pretty neutral and simple, as I love holiday décor to flow and incorporate seamlessly into my style.
I love to add a few things into our living room built-ins and this little Happy Easter sign was a find a few years back but I still love it and it’s the perfect touch.
I added a large neutral wooden egg on the other side of the built ins along with a little leaping bunny. I’m not usually one for printed pillows but I saw this cute neutral water colour rabbit pillow this year and had to get it, it was too cute to leave behind!
These sweet little bunnies are another year after year addition, I just love the simplicity of them.
Once spring hits I change out my faux florals to paler colours, here I added in more white and pale pinks. This sweet bunny got a little make over this year, can you believe it used to be dark brown wood! I have had it for a while and year after year I would take it out of the box, then wrap it back up and put it away again! So I’m glad I did a little make over, as I think it is now one of my favourite Easter pieces. Be sure to check out my instagram page to see the before!
I ordered these wooden eggs from amazon and gave some a white wash and then did the others in a darker pink wash, I love that you can still see the wood grain in some of them.
This cute bunny also got a bit of a make over this year, as it was quite dark and I wanted to lighten it up and I love how it turned out! I added a nest, some leaves and cute little pale pink speckled eggs to this beaded stand which is just enough Easter for our kitchen island.
I added white ceramic bunnies to our dining hutch, which I think works great with the white dishes and serving pieces that are in there year round.
I changed out the florals again in the dining area for a lighter spring feel, and added a pair of wood bunnies that are another yearly addition.
Hope you enjoyed my little Easter home home tour! Wishing you all a Happy Easter!
