Fall Home Tour {Part One}
Hey there! With us being into the first official week of fall I thought it would be nice to show you around some of our cozy little space with the fall touches that I have added over the last couple of weeks. Fall is probably my most favourite season, I look forward to the cooler weather, hot drinks, warm fires, and cozy knits. I love to add in some warm tones, layers and textures to get our home cold weather ready. I thought I would break up our little tour into two parts, first up is our bedroom & living room!
As you will start to notice in my posts that I love neutrals, I have always gravitated towards these earth tones, and layering them to give a cozy feel. Here however in our bedroom I added a little pop of colour this fall, with this waffle textured blanket and pillow cases { I wish you could see it in person as it is showing up more pink in these photos, it is a rusty rose colour which just compliments the tones in our room perfectly} I love to add a tray to our bed, with us having a small space it allows me to have a little added room for some decorative items, as well as being the perfect resting spot for my coffee or tea if I decide to have a little reading session!
I added this cream pumpkin, candle and a vase filled with the perfect creamy leaves, which I also used across on the window sill to create a nice flow in the room.
I love to layer my blankets which is perfect as the cooler nights come, in case you need an extra layer to keep you warm. You may notice I also have a pillow obsession, is there such thing as too many pillows?
Piper is the only one of our pooches that can jump up on the bed on her own, so you will often find her curled up here, can you blame her with all those cozy layers and pillows!
I keep the fall décor pretty simple, and add a few pumpkins here and there, along with wood tones and of course layers again for added warmth. {I have a new area rug coming which will really help ground the space and I cant wait for it to arrive!} Do you feel like you are being watched? by our little cutie lounging on the chair!
A little tip, blanket scarves make a great small throw for chairs, which is exactly what I added to this chair!
I have had these ceramic pumpkins for years and they are still some of my favourite fall décor pieces, I love to add in some more wood pieces and a few maple leaves or fall florals to complete our built ins.
This little lady is happy that it’s snuggle up by the fire season, when ever the fire is on we find her here toasting her tootsies! and who doesn’t love a basket of pumpkins! Clearly give me all the pumpkins and pillows!
I love this layered, simple coffee table look! A few fall florals, candles, wood textures, books and a bowl of the cutest little pumpkins, which I am obsessed with by the way!
Sometimes being mismatched is perfect, I love how these vintage styled candle holders look together, and how the one mimics the bottom of the vase and the dark bronze metal one along with the different metals compliment the over all look!
Did I already mention I think one of my favourite fall items are these sweet little white pumpkins!
So simple, yet so sweet!
Thank you for popping by today! I hope you enjoyed part 1 of my fall home tour, and hope you’ll come back to check our part 2 next week!
Till then …
