A Galentine’s High Tea

February 14, 2025

Why does cutting things into a heart shape make it that much sweeter? I am a girly girl through and through so my love for polka dots, hearts, bows, florals and of course pink runs strong. So when that holiday rolls around that most people either love or hate, I jump at the chance to add a little love to someone’s day whether it be a Valentine or a Galentine! I decided to host a little Galentine’s high tea in the she shed and everything turned so cute and not to mention delicious!

My vintage tea trolley was the perfect spot to set up the tiered stand full of sweets, treats and savoury eats. I then chose to use my scalloped heart cut out plates, milk and sugar and small tea cups to finish off the high tea set up. You may notice I went a little gingham crazy with the table top itself, the napkins and tea cozy, however it all worked well together and doesn’t come across as too busy.

How cute is this little tea cozy with the ribbon tie, red and white gingham and white lace applique.

On the menu was scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, cranberry chicken salad mini buns, cucumber and cream cheese sandwich pockets. I also served mini chicken sausage rolls, phyllo cups with chopped tomatoes, basil, balsamic glaze and topped with a fresh mozzarella heart. Then for sweets I served dark chocolate truffle hearts, Lindor neapolitan chocolates and triple chocolate cake brownies with fresh strawberry hearts. We of course has tea and a little Galentine’s strawberry-tini cocktail!

I made up these cute little chocolate boxes for my guests to take home and the strawberry heart pick was the perfect garnish for our cocktails.

I created the little tags, sandwich picks and Galentine’s in photoshop, printed and assembled to add the perfect touch to the high tea.

I loved hosting this little high tea in the she shed and look forward to doing it again with a different theme or twist throughout the year. I hope you enjoyed following along and were perhaps inspired to host your own get together for your Galentine or Valentine tomorrow!
